Lance,

my unseen stats:

30 years heavy smoking. At least 30 a day. Sometimes, 40.50,60!  But, I did it! Believe in yourself and you can do it! Ultimately, you will be so proud of yourself as this will be the best gift a smoker can give to themselves.
There is certainly a better life after quitting - I know because I am living it!

My Milage:

My Quit Date: 2/13/2006
Smoke-Free Days: 1341
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 40,230
Amount Saved: 10,560.38
Life Gained:
Days: 227 Hrs: 4 Mins: 47 Seconds: 15

Lance, you can do this!  Stay close to the boards, post as much as you need, if only to rant and rave!  We've all gone through this, and we'll all here to help!  If you have a huge craving, post and wait for 5 responses before acting on the craving.  By then the desire to smoke should be gone!  And as Samantha said, Hell Week is truth in advertising.  But trust me, this temporary inconvenience will yield a HUGE permanent improvement!  We're all rooting for you buddy!
My Milage:

My Quit Date: 8/20/2008
Smoke-Free Days: 422
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 16,880
Amount Saved: $4,220.00
Life Gained:
Days: 63 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 13

You can get through this hard time, you'll have to take it hour by hour. Do what it takes to get through each hour and with time things will get easier.
This first week can be brutal! Stick it through, it will be worth it!

The main reason for undertaking this is my panic feelings when I drive. As I sit here riding the bus I ask, will this help? Am I putting myself thru this just to geal with the same issues? I read how smoking van be related to my issues, but nothing is concrete. Maybe I'm just having a hard time rite now.
My Milage:

My Quit Date: 10/14/2009
Smoke-Free Days: 2
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 40
Amount Saved: $12.30
Life Gained:
Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 55 Seconds: 43
