crazysexytanya,
I don't know when it ends, to be honest. What's probably causing it is that you are getting rid of the toxins in your body. This is a good thing. And now that our sense of smell is better, that might be contributing to how bad it smells too. I hope it ends for you soon... it's gotten better for me, but it's still pretty fowl. Yes, this is a VERY unpleasant part of quitting. But it's worth it in the long run. Just hang in there.

cincere, the "quality" also may be due to our heightened sense of smell after we quit... that makes the "quality" more noticable. Sometimes, I wonder if the heightened sense of smell after quitting is a good thing. :quest: Oh well, there are MANY other really good benefits to quitting... with or without the smell. Get used to it folks... this is how well non-smokers smell! Hope the... uh quality AND the quanity subside for you soon Dave.

Dave,
It could also have to do with your eating patterns. When we quit smoking, we tend to eat more and less healthy foods and that could be causing part of your problem. Watch what you eat and try not to eat a lot of gassy foods. Kiwi's suggestion of drinking lots of water should help too.

When I first quit the price of gas really was rising and I wished I could bottle my gas :p Yup it seems to be a side affect, but it does pass :)

This is a great thread... who knew that so many had this problem.. I thought I was the only one... Such an embarassing topic but yet so common. Thank you for this... not only was it a good laugh but it feels good to know that it doesn't have to be embarassing.
