Boy, Hot SiO2 (Glass?), I would be a fool to take up smoking to cure my breathing problems. A little bit of that demon thinking there. Instead I believe I quit smoking just in time to save my life.

You really are kicking ash!! I know it's been a tedious process for you and I know how you feel about the allergy thing! My allergies to ragweed and mold are worse since I quit smoking! My thinking is that all that tar in my sinuses and lungs wouldn't let the pollen or mold spores through! It's a possibility and I have been sneezing up a storm and getting a bit congested in the lungs at times, but I am sure as heck not going to go back to smoking to cure that!!!
So, do like I'm doing and just hold on till that first freeze and hopefully your symptoms will subside!
Jim

Brenda, just imagine how much worse it would be if you were still smoking! You are doing the best thing! While it may seem that other problems are popping up, not smoking is helping your body! Congrats on 4500 not smoked!

Hard to tell, Ashley. I've actually been sicker. Could be a coincidence, but my breathing is worse, much worse than it ever has been, but it has been better the last few weeks. I could be reacting to the tuck-pointing (brick and cement) work that has been going on since the middle of June. I don't know. The pulmonologist says I have allergic asthma. I don't feel physically healthier, but it could be that had I not quit smoking, my health would be much worse.
