Hi lindylou,

The passport is a feature on SSC version 5.  You are using SSC version 6.  The passort was just a way of organizing the stop smoking program.

Wow, Lindy - it's been about 4 1/2 hours  for you now -----hope all is still going well...soon time for bed and sleep is a good thing 'cuz when you awake you can add a bunch more hours to your accomplishment. Keep thinking positive thoughts - you KNOW you can do it. All the successful people out ther know it can be done. I'm 12 days in and feeling great about that - so I'm going to stick it out.
This is a great program and site for venting when you are frustrated, understanding what others are going through and how some it may be familiar to you, and especially for getting support. Others have done it, so why not you??? Happy successes.................

Hi there!

If you read some of my earlier posts you will laugh.  The stresses I coped with while stopping smoking were almost to the point of funny! I'm so glad I now had those stresses. Had I not and everything went quiet and well, as soon as a stress had loomed I would have picked up a smoke for sure. It's a little like the mothers who ensure their babies sleep in total silence and tell of anyone that makes a sound. As soon as their is a sound the baby goes into hysterics. But the baby that sleep in mayhem and loud music, truly sleeps like a baby!

So, treat your current stresses as a blessing when it comes to giving up smoking. I learned that stress was NOT the reason why I smoked, although I would have sworn at the time that it was.  My blog has some info, but search for my posts during August for my stressy rants! hilarious!

Good luck to you - and congratulations on one whole hour. I think when I was one hour in I started to have out of body experiences! (now I hardly think about it)

Phae xx

Hi Folks.  I just quit 1 hour ago. Doesnt sound like a long time, but I would have had at least 2 in this hour. I will admit, stopping scares the heck out of me! I am Quitting mostly for my health, but also the health of my husband, and my cats.
I am trying the nicoderm patch, I tried chantix a few months ago, but have an allergy to it. I have a lot of stress in my life, (as most of us do), and that will be the hardest time to stay quit. Its been 51 yrs. since I had my first cigarette, just praying today is the last. I appreciate any advice. I posted on the newbie forum, and got a lot of encouragement to do this quit.
   Thanks for listening!
