I think many of the quitters on this site would agree that the first day, seven days, fourteen days, and one month are the toughest. After you hit 30 days, don't let your guard down, but realize that it is unlikely that any of the thousand chemicals that are in cigarettes are still left in your system. You will likely have no more withdrawals from any source, except your mind.

Rosie's Friend and all my other quitting friends....

Truer words have never been spoken.  This first month has been ...(lets call it interesting)!!!
Some days I don't think about it and others it has crossed my mind, and got through the thought
and the crave.  This is definitely a decision I am glad I made!

Keep the Quit!

Sunshine

Sunshine,
I am so glad to see that you are doing so good! This 1st month is certainly not any fun is it?  I do find that the good days are more frequent and there are days when I never even think about it, but when one of those bad days hit, look out!

I just wanted to send a big thank you to all of you!

Tomorrow I start the second step of the 3 step "step-down process" of using the patch
and I feel great.  This quit compared to others has been pretty tough but I've made
it through so far no thanks to reading alot of threads on this site.  Many threads I've read have been
such an inspiration and especially looking at the length of time that many of you have been quit
really helps keep me going.

I do need to apologize though for not replying to various discussions that I've read, but I have
thought about many of you and sent you by best wishes in my thoughts and prayers.
I have been in such a foul mood during this first month, I didn't want to come across as such,
so I thought it best to keep quiet.  I will try to put my two cents in where I can from now on.

Thank you again and congratulations to all you quitters out there.
I've never been more proud to say that "Yes I Am Quitter"!
