Christina, welcome to the SSC!!

You are well on your way to a new smokefree life.  Be sure to go through My Program to learn how to prepare for triggers, to combat the urges and be well-armed for battle.

And reward yourself as often as you used to light up.  That means 20-40 times a day YOU deserve a treat that won't kill you!  Keep them simple and healthy and do them for you.  I found short walks, tall glasses of ice water and simply taking long deep breaths very rewarding.  And it was also really cool to take my smoke break with non-smokers!  I learned alot about other colleagues that I had been clueless to previously because they didn't hang with the smokers out in the wind and rain, etc.!!!!

Try to be healthy with any food treats....I got carried away with junk foods and now get to work on a 40-lb spare tire, but this beats the heck out of the wheezing and hacking that I left behind about 9-months ago.

You are starting a great rollercoaster ride.  It will have highs and lows, with twists and turns.  But it is the best ride ever!!!!!  Post, Blog, Read, Learn.....Do whatever you must to defeat the nicodemon.  You are worth it.

Choose Life.....Better Benefits,

Dave
