Phewwwwww, it was just a dream

14 years ago 0 278 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I was crying when I woke up one night.  Thought I had blown it.  Around the 3 month mark.  Took a while to realize I was dreaming.  Guess that was the end of the vivid dreams, but they ended in a doozie!

Tabbyh,

Thanks for sharing your experience. I can definitely say that has happened to me before, but what a sigh of relief when you realize it was all a dream. Rock had a great idea to buy a smoke free sign and post it in your bedroom, a constant reminder and hopefully it would help eliminate the intensity of the dreams.

Keep sharing your quit experiences with us, as there is a good chance you are not alone.

Members, anyone else experience vivid dreams during your quit?

I had those dreams too!  Some were so vivid I also thought I blew my quit.  I remember somebody telling me to buy one of those $1.00 No Smoking signs and keep it near my bed so it was the last thing I saw before I went to sleep!  Just remember that it is only a dream, and that nasty nicodemon will do whatever he can to try to draw you back!  But you are in control!  Congratulations!

Tabbyh,
I sure do remember those smoking dreams.  They seemed so real.  Was I ever glad when I woke up!!!!!  I haven't had them in a while now, but I used to get them at least once a week.
So its OK, go ahead and pinch yourself, you really are a non smoker!!!!!!  Your stats are really adding up!

Cheers,
Jan

Did you ever have a dream where it felt so real ???  Wow... I had a dream last night where I smoked... and kept telling myself it was ok because I was smoking it from a plastic filter?!!!??  Don't know where that came from.
Anyway, it felt so real when I woke up this morning I felt sad and dissapointed in myself and kept thinking I would have to come on here and tell everyone I had slipped....

Well... Thank Goodness that it was just a dream and I am still smoke free..
