Thanks again everybody for your thoughts and prayers. He finished 6/10 treatments yesterday. His speech hasn't changed, and they don't expect that aspect to get back to normal until he is off the radiation for good. Luckily no other motor skills have been affected so far! He has 4 more sessions, then he has 2 weeks off. Then he is supposed to do 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off again. Or if this isn't working they'll try a new chemo therapy. We will know more next week after he finishes this round of radiation. While speaking is tough for him, laughing isn't. It feels so good hearing him laugh as whatever makes him laugh must be controlled in a different part of his brain than controls speaking! I'll keep you all posted as to what happens next week.

Rock, So great to see how our bodies can change when we make positive decisiions towards better health. I know I have been able to do so much more now that I have quit. Here is an example of something bad that came up for you healthwise which turned out to be a blessing in that you are in much better health now that you have quit smoking. I'm guessing but if you had not had the bad result from the doctor you probably would still be smoking. What a great inspirational story for all. Ron
