GETTING READY TO QUIT

14 years ago 0 280 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Welcome Valerie... Way to go on making the choice to quit.  This is the best thing you can do for yourself.  Just take it one day at a time and if that is too much, take it one hour at a time... you can do it... and we are all here to take that journey with you.  Post and read often.....members on this forum have been my best friends on this journey... reward yourself often also and make sure to read through the "my program".  This site is amazing and will help you... come by often.... we are in this together.

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Hi Valerie. Welcome. I have bipolar disorder, and I have 74 days. Okay, that's not forever. But it's 74 more than I've had in a long time. I'm finding that this quit is not as taxing as others had been. I think that partly has to do with the fact that I'm on the right medications for my mental illness. So I think getting that right is important factor in quitting, for if the combination of medications are right you will probably suffer few to no attacks. You probably will have to keep yourself busy, though. Boredom can sometimes feel like anxiety. Just remember to breathe and that it does get easier.

My Milage:

My Quit Date: 5/1/2009
Smoke-Free Days: 74
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,998
Amount Saved: $749.25
Life Gained:
Days: 8 Hrs: 2 Mins: 8 Seconds: 15
