Congratulations on your decision to quit!
Stay positive. And read and post as needed. I recommend you to go trough my program to get a better understanding of your addiction. If I can do it,you can do it. I'm sure of that.
Drink lots of ice water, and as Rock says, reward yourself. Take long walks and hot showers. Listen to good relaxing music and rest as much as you can!
I'm rooting for your success!

LOL the thought of you running to your appointment made me laugh.  Boy would your counsellor be surprised to see you run in the door!  You will have to tell us how your appointment goes.

You are doing great.  You should be so proud of yourself and your persistence.

NOPE!

Nick, good luck at your counselor's appointment this morning!  Like Bob said, never quit quitting!  Some people can quit on their first try, others take a few times to reach being smoke free.  The destination is the same, but everybody's journey is different.  Some use NRTs, some use Smoke Censation Counselors, some go cold turkey.  Thats the beauty of this site.  No matter what path you take or how many times it takes, we're all here for each other, supporting each other on the path to becoming smoke free!  P.S.  Doesn't all that extra energy feel great?

Welcome NickF

Never Quit Quitting!!  That's one of our mottoes here.  Good to see you keep on Quitting.
You're new Word for the Day has to be N.O.P.E.  It means Not One Puff Ever.  We can't take ONE puff, we're addicts and we'll go right back to smoking a pack or more a day.  It's just fact.
Post and Read....we'll all help.

Keep the Quit
Bob

Thankyou ALL.

I'm off to see my smoking ceasation counsellor in a little while. I want to see that CO reading as zero. My first carbon monoxide reading i scored 44, I hadnt quit at all at that point. The next one a week later i scored 10, i'd cut down to between 4-6 smokes a day. Bar a slip over the weekend i've been smoke free this week. Boy was that slip depressing, all my previous hardwork thrown away in an instant. Still i managed to pick myself up and battle it head on.
I woke up this morning feeling like superman. The cravings are still there but my energy levels seem to have gone ballistic. I'm even considering running down to the clinic. One of my primary reasons for quitting was so i could excersize more and not feel like im being strangled.

Nick,

Welcome to the boards and congratulations on making the decision to become a non-smoker!

You have already received a lot of great advice from other members here. Take some time to read through the older posts and reach out whenever you need to. Many members have quit using Zyban so perhaps they can share their own experience with you. We are here for you every step of the way!

Keep the quit Nick!

Welcome Nick. You have come to the right place! Congratulations on your success so far! Take it one day at a time, the big picture can be a bit over whelming. I find drinking ice water really helps with the cravings. If, at any time, you are struggling post on this site. There is always someone here you can vent to. Reading posts made by others is always helpful and don't forget to work your program!
All the best with your quit...you can do it!
