Waif, welcome to the SSC!  You've been given some wonderful advice.  My two cents are to go through "my program" so you are 110% prepared to continue this quit!  You've got a great quit going, and we want you to keep it going!  The nicotine is out of your system now.  Its just the mental addict now you have to fight.  Like Jim said, you should add your quit meter to your posts from "my profile" so you can see your stats add up!  Isn't it great having all of this energy?  Its amazing how much more time and energy we have once we quit smoking!  Tomorrow at day 7 you'll have survived Hell Week!  Please be sure to reward yourself to celebrate your success!  And be sure to keep celebrating your success with daily rewards and weekly rewards as you need to retrain your brain that you can be happy without all the toxic chemicals nicotine used to send to your brain.  We're all rooting for your continued success!

Hey Waif!!!

Congratulations!!!  You've nearly made it through Hell Week!!!  Way to go!!!  By now the nicotine is out of your system, so it really is just going to be a mental battle between you and the nico-demon!  If you go into every crave determined to kick that nico-demon's ash, you will be successful!!!

Check out the whole site and the forums.  If you need some support, just yell!!!   If you have questions, that's what were here for, or you can use the search function!  That works real well!

When you get a chance, go to the profile and get your quit meter set up!   It really helps to see your stats build day by day!

Good luck!  We're glad you could join us!

             Jim

Hi everyone,
I quit on Saturday past, today is my 6th day.  Day 3 & 4 were the days that I had to check the mirror and see if my head was spinning still!  Wow I am glad I am not that bad today.
One unexpected benefit is that when I am really feeling that 10 ton monkey on my back I get up & do yard work or something.  I actually cleaned out my 10X15 shed that was completely full w/ books in 2 days.
Good luck and may your head stop spinning too, all my new brethren.
