What a fabulous post, Dave

Thanks for getting all the emotions, heartaches, triumphs and day to day things so elequently worded. Yeah--the good, the hard and the mundane still happen while we are quitting...Some days we like our response and other days we can't stand ourself...

I am hear to promise you...it DOES get easier. There will come a day when the daily thoughts of smoking will be gone.. ..

You are a fantastic asset to this site, thank you for sharing your journey with us...& welcome to the beach:)

Dave I read your post this morning, but didn't have time to respond.  Thanks for taking all of us though your fist hundred days.  You have scripted a wonderful journey.  Showing us that it is not alway the way we would like, but keeping focus on the goal you have made it 100 days.  Outstanding!!!

Now my friend, a thong  I am thinking (and that can be dangerous) that maybe you guys should return to the everyday run of the mill swimming trunks.  Speedos are one thing and now thongs   What a visual I had all day   Rock I was thinking about and  itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini , for us girls.  NOT!!! LOL

Dave again congrats on 100 days!!

Keep the Quit
Sparky

My itsy bitsy teeny weeney yellow polka dot speedo is just right.  There isn't enough room for polka dots on a thong!

Congratulations Dave!
I loved your 100 days post. It says a lot. It is a tough but rewarding process. I thank you for being here and for your common sense. You have conquered the firs leg of this long journey. But this is the hardest. And I applaud you for that.

You are a great contributor to others success and I am truly grateful for that. As you wrote so eloquently, life goes on and
we have to be a part of it. But our life is less complicated now. One less problem to face. And we are doing it by ourselves with the great support of this community and our loved ones.

Enjoy your beach vacation. And about Bob and Rock.......
They are highly competitve guys, you are daring them to top your thong thing... I don't know, but for all of you nearby the beach, watch out for Bob and Rock, they can show up in unexpected attire
Have a great day!!!!!!

Dave,
I see that you have over the last 100 days begun to really "LIVE" again which is why this quitting thing is so worth it. Congratulations to you, and enjoy the beach...I notice Rock and Bob are becoming very quiet on this thread for whatever reason ...Ron

Dave, sending personal congratulations down your way in Southeast Ohio!  Welcome to the beach!  You've earned this BIG TIME!!!  100 days smoke free is a wonderful, so be sure to reward yourself for reaching this milestone!  I had to read your list a couple times to see how many things I've done.  You've really put the good things in life into perspective.  Granted you could have done many of the items you listed if you were still smoking, but boy didn't it feel great doing everything on your list smoke free?  Here's to the next 100 smoke free days, and beyond!!!

Absolutely brilliant post!!!  In your first paragraph you stated almost verbatim what I have experienced at one point or another since I've quit.  I've seen many sides of myself that I've never seen before.  I remember in one of my old posts I was talking about not recognizing or liking the new me.  I think I actually stated that I hated the new me.  My how things have changed.  I really like me now.    I really appreciate your honesty and ability to share with all of us.
Oh yeah, congrats on 100 days - you wear that thong with pride!
