Hi Joyce!
Yes, you are normal.  Schizophrenia is a side-effect of quitting.  We all hear voices here at SSC   I believe bobinsc and HP are the most sane, if that helps you to guage the rest of us....
[HP thinks she is a fortune-telling Easter Chicken and bob claims he is the SSC mafiaso original gangsta]
Oh yes, my dear friend, Joyce, you are in good hands.
Relax, lay back, deep breaths and close your eyes.
Oh-never mind about closing your eyes.
*Marivi, put your stinger away*

Wow - with my friend and you guys, I made it another day. And my mind has finally settled down, lol. For people who know me, that's a cotton pickin' miracle. Gonna have supper now and watch Saving Grace - it's set in Oklahoma City which is where I'm from.
Hugs to all and N.O.P.E,
Joyce

Joyce, what a wonderful friend you have helping you with this when life gets rough.  Isn't it crazy that the nicodemon keeps trying to pull us back?  The good thing is that you keep saying N.O.P.E. and telling him No Way!  And as Marivi said, rant and rave here as much as you need!  Somebody is always here to help!  Keep taking it one day at a time and you'll go far!

Yell, cry, shout, kick. Do whatever you need to do, but don't smoke. You already have 7 days under your belt!
The mental addiction is tough. But you know better. You want to be healthy and smell good. You want to save money for your cruise. (no the virtual one, lol). So stay quit.
You made a nonnegotiable decision to stop smoking and you will stick to it no matter what!!!!!!!
We all have been there, we understand, and it is doable. Believe me, it gets better. So hang on! Eat sleep, as mm suggested go ahead and kick someone,  you have to stay smoke free. Your loved ones will understand! Ah, and be selfish. This is not the time to be polite or too sensitive about others. You can even be a liittle mean. O.K. this is not easter advice.
But my point is that you have the right to be upset or depressed or really angry.
hUGS

"Head Ripping and Bashing 101" is in MissM's room ......just down the hal from herel.......
"Losing it 101".is my next class........It's the early class covering Yelling and Screaming for no apparent reason......That covers Throwing Things 101 also.......
I think Impalamania has "Why did I do this 101" at  3:30pm......not pms......pm.
Then at 5 peteg has "Lets try to talk ourselves out of this 101".....
A complete schedule is available from Sparky.....the class coordinator.  It lists all the available classes and the instructors.

Please be on time as class times and leaders are flexible and do change.  No Hall Passes allowed cause you'll probly try to smoke it........or break it.
Anyone caught listening to their addict is automatically assigned extra duty after class.  That's led by HP and she often has a bunch of help!!!!  And uses a paddle......

You aren't alone Joyce.......we all got a head full of voices and critters telling us "stuff".

Huggggg
Bob

grlpoet,

Sorry to hear that today has been rough for you. However, it sounds like you were able to fight those cravings and get through another day smoke-free! Amazing!

It is great to hear you were able to reach out to your friend as well during this struggle.

Keep up the great work grlpoet! You can do this!

Boy did I need to read this - I have 9 days and I woke up this morning in a very bad mood - I posted earlier in another place that I was gonna ask the gardener for a cigarette or go buy just one pack. Now I know it's okay to feel like ripping up seats and people. I did call my friend and she helped immensely. So I am calmer and ready to take on the day - even in a bad mood. Thank God I don't have to drive anywhere. I thought Heck Week would be all roses and laughter! See, I beat Hell Week, look at me, aren't I good?? Hell Week for me was sorta a pink cloud now the cloud is grey. I need to find a new committee for my board room in my head. Right now it is Chicken Little, Igor, the Joker, and last but not least the Head of the Committee - Wiley Couote. He tells me to send away for that handy, dandy Acme fix me, fix you kit and ALL will be well! The cut to the next picture of him stand three feet away from the cliff edge with a surprised look on his face. Yep, that would be me. Weel, enoug from me,
Hugs to all,
Joyce

Oh, go ahead and rip off a few heads!  Thay deserve it!  We got a body disposal unit at the SSC.  It's headed up by Phil.  Have you met him?  Some of the folks that work for him are Mr. Ed, Sparky, Jan 58, Windy, Riverdale Man, and Rock.  So, go ahead!  We'll hide the bodies so well nobody will ever associate you as the suspect......heeheehee!
