A new week begins

Congratulations Sparky
You have made it to trough the worst week!
What a great reward, fresh coffee every day! mmmmm And the smell, you can now smell it! And the taste...... Your taste buds can notice even the more subtle variations in the taste of different coffee blends. That is a great reward that reminds you of what you have achieved this week. Have you tried those yearly suscriptions in which they send you a one lb coffee bean bag every month, so you can enjoy different coffee blends every month?

By the way, I love your avatar! It is so cute!
Keep the good job Sparky
Hugs
Marivi

Today is going okay.  I had a moment when it was a little dicey.  I was going to go to the store and then I just didn't feel like I could trust myself alone so I didn't go.  Maybe later.  Did buy myself a coffee grinder, so my rewards down the road will be different types of coffee.  I love my coffee and of course you need cookies to go with it.  LOL.

Ron, again thanks for the reminder.  Sometimes it is a little hard to choke down your own words, but it is also a road map to get to where I want to go.  Somehow I must have put the map away and got lost.  I am here now and we will go forward.

Hey Sparky,
Like I said in your welcome back post, take all the info you can from that past HOF winner in Apr. 08.  It's that person inside you that knows what you not only need to do but WANT to do for yourself.  As you know everyday you don't light up the more you will see that there is nothing ever in life that needs a cigarette.  Just like you say as your signature "keep the quit".  We all know you are going to do it this time, one day at a time.  Have a great smoke free weekend. Ron

Hey Sparky!

You go grill!  It's the weekend.

You are doing so good with your posting...it's great that you identified something that can stop the chatter.
That old junkie is a lurker. I can't believe some of the things he comes up with. I'm embarrassed to say that I was wheelin' and dealin' with him in the beginning. I think the final deal with the devil was if I live to be 90 I can start smoking again.  LOL!  I won't even remember how to light one ( or what my name is  )  by that time but somehow that made me feel better.

Ok, your mind needs a diversion.... think of Miss Marple out there on the high seas chasing all the cabin boys around the poop deck.

Stick with it!

Best,
 HP

Today I made it seven days.  Some of you who know my past may not think much of it since I have been here many times.  What is different I have kept a promise to myself and have posted daily where I am and how I am feeling during my quit and along the way I have gotten to know a few of you and that is so cool.

In the past this is where my quits have become overwhelming.  The chatter begins.  Example of few.  You can have a puff, just don't tell anyone.  Oh go head and have one, what difference it make.  Oh man I want one sooooooooooo bad, but if I post they will talk me out of it.  I can do this, I don't need help.  It goes on and on.  When I messed up the last time I came so close to posting and didn't and gave my quit away.  Also there have been some that have had a puff or a cigarette and never changed their quit date and moved forward.  Sometime I think I can do that, but no.  I can't do that to me or you.  So with that being said I am moving forward to Heck Week.

Keep the Quit
Sparky
