Sad and Very Ashamed

Welcome Back, Sparky.

Do not be ashamed.  Be proud of the time you spent on the last segment of this journey tobacco-free.  That is a part of your life that indicates to you, firsthand, the benefits of quitting.

Refocus you eyes on the prize and go for it.

One Minute, One Hour, One Day at a Time.................

Dave

Hi Sparky,
Glad you are back here and wanted to give you some info I thought was useful in my quit and maybe it will be for yours. They were one of the HOF winners back....

Preparation is so important when you want to give up smoking and move on with life. For those of you wanting to quit get prepared. Read and understand that quitting is all about learning what it will do to you mentally and physically.  SSC is a treasure chest of useful info. I found a million of ideas to help me prepare for my quit and distract me to get through the cravings by reading other quitter's strategies.  Some other advice is if you can find a quit buddy online or offline the support and help they offer throughout the quitting process is priceless.  If you smoke again it's not the end of the world.  Take a look at where you could have done something differently and quit again.  What kept me going was some advice I received from someone.  Never ever give up quitting , one day you will quit.
Very sound advice from someone who knows their stuff

I'm soooo glad you are back!  I have missed you terribly.  I love your new kitty pic!  Well, scoot on over Bobinsc and Astrofan so Sparky can belly up to the table with us!  No need to explain the game plan, she's (also) an old hand at this!  Still got a lot of oldies and a great group of newbies.  Watch out for Marivi---that bee's got some sting!
You can do this my dear, dear friend.  Welcome home!

sparky , go ahead and beat yourself up , and you should be ashamed ! but only under one condition , there are a lot of quitters on this site , if you can find one , just one that can honestly say that they quit and never had another puff on their first try , then by all means be ashamed.

but i know i didn't , and i doubt anyone here did. so welcome back to the wonderfyl world of kicking this demon right in the teeth.

get so mad that you hate cigarettes and let's attack this thing together again !

just don't ever quit quittin'

you are a good friend here to all , go get 'em !

Hi Sparky!
I'm glad you are coming back in full force. And rememberquit for yourself. This quit is only about you; the rest doesn't matter.
You know also that you have no doubts anymore. You hate your enslaver and you have seen is as it is. It is not a friend, or a crutch. Its a filthy addiction, and you are going to do it this time.
Read and post, hang around. You already know what to do. You are a great asset here, and we need you smoke free.
Hugs
Marivi
