I have been feeling on top of the world the last few days.  Nothing is perfect, and I no longer expect it to be.  But here lately, things have been pretty darn close.  My 12 year old is captain of her middle school league soccer team.  She is very involved in our church and a sister church's youth group.  Plays rec league soccer as well.  She then brought home all A's yesterday (the lowest score, in advanced math, was 96!)  I am so very proud.  Over the weekend we leave for Ft. Lauderdale, and then an eight day cruise---my husband, the soccer star and I.  We will be going to St. Maarten, St. Lucia and St. Kitts.  This is in celebration of all of our's birthdays and our anniversary, which all falls in the same week, and, mostly, to celebrate quitting smoking.
I feel very lucky and very blessed.  My husband and I have not taken a vacation together in 10 years.  We have had 'splintered' vacations over the years while all the kids were growing up.  We only have the one under 18 now.
I must thank all of you for helping me get this far.  There have been many times you all have kept me afloat.  This is my quit of all quits, and I know it.  I used to panic at the thought of never smoking again.  Now I embrace that as a fact.
Hubby bought me a Dell notebook to take along.  If,and when,I can find some Wifi, I'll check in.  And this much I promise......
1.  I WILL toast you all (the SSC) from the deck while sunning and sipping on some rum drink with a colorful umbrella.
2.  I will be looking for the cabana boys---give me a signal, Rock, so I know it's you
3.  We have booked our shore excursions and a trip to the spa for me---I WILL have fun!
4.  There will be NO smoking!  I may 'sizzle' a bit, but no smoke in my lungs!
Thanks for being such terrific friends.  I love you guys immensely (and a whole lots of bunches, too)
