Yeah Josie, it's a bummer! I had to cut out all sorts of things that I used to enjoy first thing in the morning

So true Josie

I think just about all smokers have that morning trigger.......coffee....waking up...."etc".  It is a tough one.  Those first 3-4 days are really bad in the morning like that.  I tried to sleep a little later.....throw my schedule off......hopefully fool my body some.  Also stayed away from coffee the first 3 days......drank OJ instead.  It wasn't easy but I made it!!  You can too.

Facing the morning without smoking can be terrifying! After a nights sleeps the nicotine level in the blood stream drops to an all time low and the body wants a boost right away. Avoiding this first cigarette is tough, before you go to sleep, make a list of things you need to avoid in the morning that will make you want to smoke. Place this list where you used to place your cigarettes.
