Sorry, I am so late to join discussion-----cigarettes are a drag----car smells, clothes smell, hair smells, taste is disgusting, you're always hunting them down, searching them out---just horrible---had a dream last night was with and old friend, she handed me a cigarette and I smoked---thank God when I woke up, it was just a dream-----------keep up the good work, we are all in this together fighting the same demon, stay strong.............................................................

Yeah, I do.  (I'm being really talky tonight, but I had a weird day full of off-the-wall feelings that I could definitely use a smoke -- not so much cravings -- just like, "Dude, go to the minimart and get a pack.  It won't kill you."  And I'm like WHERE did THAT come from??  And only on day 8 or 9?  Yikes.  This after a 9-month, cheat-free quit.

Anyway, my big tactic is remebering who I'm doing this for.  Not spouse.  Not parent.  Not kids, who are grown and gone.   Not for anyone but myself.  I deserve this gift to myself, I NEED this gift to myself if I want to function effectively in this society, and I'm the only one who can give it to myself.  Not so much narcissitic (sp???)  or self-absorbed as it is a realistic assessment of what I need and who can provide it.  I'm the only one who can save me.  I'm like my own rescuer, my own first responder, and I'm not going to let myself down.
