Sorry you are going through this at any time, let alone in the early stage of smoking cessation. Like Lil said, It is sooooo hard to let them fall on their face, but I don't think we can stop it sometimes.  We went through some of that with our oldest,  but now 8 years later at the age of 31 we are the best of pals,  and can laugh at most of it.
 
Try to keep your chin up through this experience.   You have a great sense of humor MM.   Keep it at the forefront right now.  And CONGRATS !!!!!!!!! for not picking up the smokes to get through it.
