Feeling Better!!

Hi Fuff,
Congratulations on your quit! 6 days is great, and since you have quit before (me too), you know that it does get easier - but follow the mantra used here - NOPE - not one puff ever.
We quit around the same time, so I havent got too much advice/support to offer, but the people on this site are awsome and are an incredible support.
Keep it up

Fuff, congratulations on reaching six days of non-smoking.  Hopefully these 6 days are the beginning of a lifetime of no smoking.  This is a tough addiction to fight, and since you are feeling pretty positive, this is your time!  Follow the advice of fellow SSC members, post when you are struggling and need a helping hand.  We're all here for each other!

Thanks for replying to me.  Its nice to hear from other people in the same situation as me.  No I'm not using anything.  My father was a 40 year 4-5 pk a day smoker and he quit cold turkey.  He is now going on almost 2 years and he is doing fantastic!!  Soooooo if he can do it I think I can certainly do it.

Hi Fuff,
You're doing great! Your first post and you already have six days in the bank! Every time I quit it was always harder than the previous one. You can do this if you want to. It is so worth doing!
Hang in there and welcome!

Welcome, I am glad you are feeling better.  Keep that positive attitude, that makes a world of differenc.  Once our king of PMA, Jim,  has time to pop on the site, he will tell you all about keeping that good attitude.  Congrats on 6 days and it is very nice to meet you.  Are you using any sort of NRT?

I am now on day 6.  From reading everyone's response the first week is Hell Week.  I have quit 3 other times, when I was pregnant with by children.  I don't remember it being this hard!!!  However I am determined to keep it up!!!!  After 6 days I can honestly say I am starting to feel better!  I have had bronchitis so that was a huge factor however mentally I am feeling pretty positive!!
