No Worries HP.  Thanks for the kind words.

Tresa........Have a great getaway.  I'm sure the gals will be cracking the whip while you are gone.

Patrick......My Doc had that look.  Was surprised as I was.  I just have to stay the course and make a few improvements.  And good luck with your weight goals as well.

Kelly........Thanks for stopping by this thread.  I figured you were on a long weekend.  I hadn't seen any words from you in the forums for a few days.  I might have to go on some meds if the numbers haven't improved when I go back but I'm hoping that a little more time and some extra effort will change things for the better.  I've never had weight issues until I put the smokes down.  I am eating less and healthier but the pounds have slowly been going up.  Has to be a metabolism thing and everybody says that the fun starts around 50ish with weight and health issues. I hope I can prove them wrong.  Good luck to you, too.  I see on the news that it is starting to rain over in Point this morning.  We sure need it.  Let it rain all day.  My gardens are starving for some good ole water from the skies instead of the hose.  Hope you are well QB

Thanks again everybody who stopped by.

Moss

Hiya, Moss.  I missed this one somehow.  This is just a temporary thing.  You'll get those numbers back in the traces with good dieting and exercise.  The big thing is that you are a non-smoker now.  Focus on that and eating a healthy diet. I'm doing baby-steps over at the Healthy Weight Center next door.  Why not get online there and keep an eye on yourself for the next 6 months.  Otherwise you're in great shape, really?! Right weight for your height.  Just got to reduce the LDL or the HDL or whichever is bad for you!  I take something called Fenofibrate for my cholestrol..... and the doctor is no longer giving me those panic-stricken looks!!

My dear friend Moss, I am late seeing this post, I was away for an extended weekend.  I am sorry you feel bad about your tests, but my Dr. just told me at my last visit that all of these things she can fix, tobacco she can't.  so remember that, we can always eat better, excersise more or if we have to, take medication.  You will be fine, you are already doing everything right.  I weighed myself yesterday and I weigh 119, I weighted 121 at a full term pregnancy, I am not happy.  I was 98 pounds since I was 15, this is very hard for me to take.  Maybe you and I will get our exta excersise this winter shoveling instead of snow blowing. (yuck).  Hope you are feeling a bit better.

Thinking of you,

Kelly
