Good Habits

16 years ago 0 967 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Since I quit I too have been brushing my teeth more (I was obsessive about it already).  I walk on both of my breaks at work with my husband.  Now with all the extra spare time I have, I can clean my house more (yick), walk my dogs and ride my bike.  I can sit through an entire soccer game without having to run off and hide to have a smoke and embarrass my daughter.  I am hoping to get a better plan for working out, we bought a home gym and a tred mill in the earlier part of the year, but just haven't got the regular use out of it.  And my new favorite habit is SPENDING MONEY ON ME!!  Got to love it.....

I too have begun brushing my teeth more(almost to the point of being obsessive sometimes) and am walking further and further everyday. I am also able to play with my 5 yr old more which is an awesome thing!! I have also started washing my hands more ( I pretend i'm washing away the nicotine).

I've started walking our dogs every night. I live at the top of one of the only hills in Florida. I can actually make it back up the hill without losing my breath!

Bets, that is such a great place to start! Good for you!

I have a new habit of brushing my teeth more. Having a nice minty
mouth is a treat plus it seems to dissipate the craving.
I also floss more! I use those little flosser picks. Those are good to have
around when a crave hits!
Come to think of it, not as much now since craves have subsided but I keep them handy.
:)

Thanks Brianne, good thread!

Members,

Smoking is a destructive habit but with this lifestyle change, you may have been inspired to change other areas of your life.

What good habits have you picked up since your quit?

Do you feel these good habits have helped you in your quit?
