Thats just how I feel Mike- although I know there would only be overwhelming support if ever I strayed from the path it is the thought that I had somehow betrayed or let down the people I am so wanting to succeed- and thats a good thing.
I take great delight in watching the stats rise on everyone's quit meters and its such fun to share the different quit journeys with everybody.

karren and theresa
in all honesty , when i was kind of in my early quit stages i know it was this place that kept me from having even 1 smoke.

i simply did not want to let anyone down here.of course i know i would have only recieved positive thoughts , but i did not want to disappoint anyone.

Theresa- thank you, you dont know how touched I was to read your post. You're right this community is very special, I honestly think alot of strength comes from our unity as a group- everyone is genuinely willing the others to succeed, and it does feel good to be able to say exactly how one feels without fearing judgement or repercussions.
I hope we all remain 'friends' for many years to come.

Hi Karen,

Congratulations, your are totally FREE!!!
I'm so proud of you.
Just as you thanked those who came before you, I would like to thank you for being my "rock" and "anchor" when I needed one. You have helped me more than you know.

This is what I love the most about this community.  Its easy to see that people here really DO care.
Like you, it makes me look forward to the day I can "pay forward" the strength and help!

Stay strong  and keep smiling
Theresa

Mike, thank you so much for those kind words wow they really did mean alot. I am determined to try and help people beat this addiction I only wish someone would have tried to help me years ago. I feel like shouting from the roof tops " hey its not as bad or as scary as they tell you its really not" And my greatest wish is I would really like to get into youth counselling- if I could just stop one or more kids ending up a heavy duty smoking addict like I was, then my experiences would have counted for something. Patrick, my support from day one, what can I say except thank you xx
