Good job... yes  distraction.. anything.. a computer game, give the dog a bath... LOL

The first day  I went through my clothes closet and in No time  had several bags of clothes for charity.

have a crossword puzzle book.. and some skittles, or carrots or ???? ready to grab.

maybe a puzzle... they have those clothes you can set them out on so you can roll them up if you need the table.

saving up for a computer game or a WII or ??? could be a reward...   Oh and of course, if You possibly can,, get your booty right here and POST and read and wait for some replies.

CybrDuke,

Good for you! I am so glad to hear that you were able to fight your craving, and that you did so by playing Guitar Hero! What a great suggestion!
Good luck today, let us know how it goes,

Hello and good morning everyone. Still not smoking, and still loving it.

Last evening was tough, I had the biggest crave so far so I called on my daughter for some help. She's 15 and she was right there for me. Now understand, I was home, and there are no smokes there at all, so there was no danger of me smoking, BUT, I wanted to destress a bit so she had a great suggestion...

Let's play Guitar Hero!

I tell you what, in less than 5 minutes I had completely forgotten about the crave and was a Rock Star! That game is a bit of fun. If you haven't tried it, and there's one around, I strongly suggest it.

Two things I took away from this experience. Number one and probably the most important, shout for help when you think you need it. People respond and they give you their strength. Number two - get busy. It doesn't have to be constructive, just get your mind on something else. The crave is a momentary thing. The smokes cause permanent damage.

I'm too smart to solve a temporary problem with a permanent fix!

Today will be a fun one, my boss in in from corporate. He's a smoker and it's customary for him and I to go have a smoke and talk business. I'll go but I won't smoke. I promise you all that, and I will stand by my word, so no worries. I'll let you know how it goes.

Have a great day everyone.

Bon Courage!!!!
