LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!

Finally I am having my moment on camera!!!!

Thursday Afternoon, ( I will be having a Thoracoscopy.....a video camera inserted into my thorax and various things to be done.  If the tumour is not attached to anything vital it may be removed.  The fluid buiild up will be controlled by puffing sterile talc into the the layers of my pleura.  The fluid already there will be drained.  They will insert a 'Chemo box'  into my chest for future chemo.  The actual cell type is not absolutely diagnosed, but the treatment for the two types is the same, so they are going ahead.  I will be in intensive care for 2-3 days, then a few days in hospital, but I am so happy that something is going to be done at last.  The prognosis for this type of cancer is not particularly good, but I remain positive and keep living in hope.  Having taken back my life from the Nicodemon, I am not ready to relinquish it any time soon!!!

Thanks to all of you for your good wishes, support and prayers.  Graham will come here and give y'all an update when he can.  I think it is he who needs the real support.  He has been fantastic....making all my meals, cleaning the house, doing everything.  I suppose that's why we have been married for 37 years!

Personally I cannot believe that this cancer has nothing to do with having smoked for 40 years!!!  It must be in the equation somewhere!  Whatever...........it's not a wonderful thing to have, and gives me all the more incentive to encourage everyone, every where to quit!!!

NEVER LOOK BACK.  THE FUTURE IS AHEAD!!!

Love Lolly.

Lolly,

I just wanted to say hang in there.  I remember you in my prayers.  You are still my hero.  You have a special gift and an attitude that is incredible.  God still has great plans for you.  Keep taking it one day at a time.  One thing the quit taught us all is that we can make it through anything if we just set our minds to it.  You keep marching forward.  You are inspirational to so many.

Lady

Thank you for the update.  I understanding the waiting can be hard, but you will do it.  I wonder what the doctors would do if they had to wait it out like their patients.  I am so glad for you that it can be removed and with all the wonderful care they have today and your wonderful attitude you will beat this.  Thoughts and prays coming your way.

Keep the Quit
