I am sorry to hear of your dad and friend.    I am glad your quit is strong.. I know it is a difficult time for you now.  Thanks so much for sharing ... and a reminder of the realaties... and not romancing ... something that is such a lie.. to get us so addicted.

sending hugs to you,

Hello everyone!

I haven't been on here in a while but i'm proud to say i have 902 smoke free days under my belt and have not looked back since.Something happened recently that reminded me that my decision to quit smoking was a smart one. My father died on June 8th from throat cancer, he just turned 64 on May 10th. I also have a 46 year old friend who is dieing of lung cancer right now. I hate cigarettes more than ever now, i can't believe i ever paid money for these things. I WILL NEVER SMOKE AGAIN!!
Those of you who are quitting or thinking of quitting...hang in there don't ever ever give up...even if you slip start over again and keep at it. Do it for those who love you so they don't have watch you suffer and then live without you!
