I absolutely love this post. I remember feeling like that but of course could not put it into words... Looking back though it seems like it was around the same time. Just like everything else with quitting smoking, I think there are so many stages and emotions. They pop up out of no where and they go as quick as they come. I think you are just fine Sparky! repost, way to many typos Nicodemon realizes that you are serious about leaving him and he is just trying to coax you back into the flock. Lets just take a minute and think about how long you have actually gone without a smoke, 160 + days. This is a long, long, long, time and I am very serious about this. This quit is all yours, welcome to life after smoking! It is what you, I, and everyone else on the planet wants and you got it! I would like to add, a friend of mine aunt die just last week. She was 80, smoked all her life, and carted an oxygen tank, died of emphysema, poor gal. Here kitty, kitty My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/22/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 625 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,250 Amount Saved: $3,437.50 Life Gained: Days: 114 Hrs: 1 Mins: 7 Seconds: 30

Complacent, that is where I am at in my quit. I am really getting bored and that is such a strong warning sign for me. The chatter begins. The awful lies. Go ahead you can have one. Look at how far you have come, other have done it and stayed with their quit. Come on just one for old time sake. We have all been there, some of more than others. I checked my thesaurus this morning trying to find words for complacent that would fit my mood. Smug, oh yes I certainly have been that. Well look at me I have been quit XXX days. LALALALALALA Then there is being so self-righteous. Never thought of myself as being pompous, but I have been. I am seeing that my ego has been a lot inflated lately. I am so sorry. We have a saying in AA about ego. It means Edging God Out. I really need to be reminded of who is really in charge of my gift (quit). Self-important, oh I sure have been feeling that way. I am forgetting that I am not doing this alone. I need each and every one of you. I am no more important or any less important than the next person here. Overconfident, is very dangerous for me. That is where the chatter, lack of enthusiasm, and just wanting to say to heck with it all starts. I forget to recommit daily to my quit. I forget to breath. I forget the water and the exercise. All of this is so important to my quit. So I am now recommitting to my quit. I am drinking water and breathing and yes I am exercising and thanking God for my gift. Keep the Quit Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 162 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,620 Amount Saved: $486.00 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 20 Mins: 8 Seconds: 10
