If Wishes Were Horses Beggers Might Ride is part of an old nursery rhyme...I forget the other stanza...I think it was something like if turnips were swords I'd wear one at my side...It just means that if wishes were horses the most destiture among us would have all desired material things.  The point was that we can not have a smoke free life simply by wishing for it; we must also truly intend to have it and do so with a sense of hope that the goal is possible; simply because it is, possible that is...
