I am taking a stab in the dark here as I didn't quit with Chantix, but I did use wellbutrin for a few weeks.
I have craves on and off--sometimes worse and sometimes better....it seems more to have to do with what is going on in life?
Are you facing emotional issues or problems that may be causing you soke grief?
ML--you've got an outstanding quit going there...you've got to keep telling yourself that smoking will not change whatever is going on. This also may be the nico-demon's last hoorah......
Whatever the case--please keep saying NOPE--use the forum & keep us posted..

I don't post much but I read a lot and unless I missed it somewhere, I can't find an explanation for what's happened to me. I started my quit by taking Chantix and the first couple of weeks went fine until I had some side effects. I talked with my doctor about them and she advised me to stop taking the Chantix and after I felt better to reduce the dosage to one per day rather than two. So I did that and it seemed to work fine. I didn't complete the 12 weeks as I was feeling really great and just forgot.
However, this past month has been nothing but intense cravings for a ciggie. Not all the time but a good part of the time. Is this just a phase I skipped over somehow and now it's coming back to haunt me?
I do all I can to resist the cravings and, so far, have been successful. I have put a lot of time and effort into this and I don't want to see it go down the drain - or rather butts in an ashtray. Any advice on why this is happening and what else I can do to overcome it will be greatly appreciated.
