The toxins should be clear of your body anywhere from 3-7 days.  The remainder may take longer to detox and rid yourself of all the toxins that smoking has caused.  Each body is different and it may take longer to heal.  Check with your doctor and continue to get frequent check-ups.Many members have advised that lots of water helps flush out all the toxins faster.   Josie, Health Educator

Brenna a few quick questions...

How long does it take for the harmful substances to be completely rid of after you've quit
smoking ?

Is there a way to get them out of our bodies faster rather then them just leaving naturally ?

Peace

Quitting smoking cleanses your body of harmful substances. More than 4,000 individual compounds have been identified in tobacco and tobacco smoke. Among these are about 60 compounds that cause cancer.
