Fighter, I hope you persevered and realized that smoking will not change any situation in your life, including your mother's health. Even one cigarette brings the very real probability that you will go back to your former level of consumption. As Lou said, the crave will go away, and it will go away whether or not you smoke. I hope you didn't have one. Let us know how you are. It looks like I missed you, I am so sorry! I am so sorry to hear that your mother is sick and in the hospital. I can sure see how that could be a major trigger. I can fully understand your desire to have a cig. Keep strong and continue to fight. Remember all your reasons for quitting and use your coping skills... I know that right now it seems as though the crave won't go away, but it will... hang on!!! Hey everybody~haven't been on here all weekend because I've been in the hospital with my mother. She's very sick and she had to have surgery this morning to have her gallbladder removed. Although I kept on thinking that if I start smoking again I'll be the one that is in here being a patient~I still wanted/want one. Yesterday was the hardest day so far for me and today is not much better. I am feeling really bad right now because I don't even have the energy to remark on anybody elses post. This is my last attempt to reach somebody before I slip. I'm scared that I might even though at this momemt I'm still going strong. I'm so close to one month and I'm trying to remember how tough it was to get to this point. Thank you for anybody who is willing to take the time to read this and help me. Thank you very much.
