I personally don't see why what you said was such a big deal. We are all adults here, but I do agree that we are all aloud our own opinions. Move on from that-I am proud of you for going strong and that is what is really important. How are you doing on your quit? Getting through hell week is really a big accomplishment. One more thing-sex is a huge endorphine releaser! Endorphines are our greatest allie in this battle so don't feel bad for a healthier way of coping grl. Stick with us-this site can really help you stay quit. The people on here are really caring! Sorry about your little hamster. I don't think they have long lives. One reason I quit too was my pets... Maybe you feel sexier.. without the smoke around you... I'm sure we all smell better now... no more stale tobacco perfume. Maybe you will "catch" the attention of the guy you like.. now since you don't smoke.. All is forgiven. I was offended by the way it was worded. Terry My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 54 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 540 Amount Saved: $81.00 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 4 Mins: 57 Seconds: 14

Ubelfrau, Believe it or not, some members have reported this change in libido. Remember, smoking does affect your hormone balance & blood flow. Hang in there, you body will adjust as will you once you find another coping strategy :) Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator

thanx guys. i know i could have express it a different way, that must be from my french side, i am good in english, i understand and have good grammar, but i still am not perfect in it. french is my first language. next time i will spend more time to write, if i think it could offend some people, i will double check. thanx parrots about the hamster picture, i thought it was a relly cute picture, and also i put that one because my hamster died this week, it was actually because of that i stopped smoking. another weird thing...lol... oh well, any reason is good, i dont smoke anymore and it's because of my little hammy. i would smoke in my room and that is where my hamster was, and he died just after a year and a half, my mom said that all that second hand smoke wasnt good for my pets, and thats when i made my decision, i just wish i would have made that decisiong before. but now, my dog and my mouse are smoke-free, i just hope they are not going through some kind of nicotine withdrawl :) i dont think they have NTR for animals :) and sorry again for the people i might have offended. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/7/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 48 Amount Saved: $17.28 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 51 Seconds: 0

Hi, I love your little hamster picture, btw. I think you could have phrased the question a little more tactfully and that would have generated a softer response, but really, quitting smoking really can enhance your libido, it increases blood flow here, there, and everywhere, and that's sort of what "that activity" is all about. I can't tell you the number of times my husband has "offered" me an alternative activity to derail my thoughts from smoking, and it does "distract" me...I'm just sayin... I can understand when you feel differently or things affect you differently when you quit smoking because every individual quit is different and our own. I had a few things that came at me from left field that were both good and bad when I first quit smoking and it is good to pay attention to your mind, body and soul, especially if something seems out of tune with your usual self. I personally did not go through this specifically but then again we are all individual so whatever works for you to not smoke then do it! (with the disclaimer or being legal, safe and appropriate) I can also understand where some may have thought the post was inappropriate, but I believe that stems from not yet really knowing you or your quit. Having written it differently maybe would have gotten a different response. Don't worry about it too much now, we are all here to help. Just remember NOPE and listen, discover and understand how your body is adjusting....you will do just fine! Take Care and have a lovely non smoking weekend! i know it might have been unappropriate, it was not my intention at all. it just thought it was really a weird thing because i usually dont feel this way and i just wanted to know if anyone else might have gone through the same thing. it is not like i asked if you guys had tips on that subject, if there was anything i can try or something like that i simply wanted to know if i was alone or not for that. sorry if i offended anyone. and thank you robin for not making me feel even more like ****.
