First off, congratulations on your 49 almost 50 days smoke free. Second, no one can really tell you when, for sure, the craves will end. Each quit is different and unique. Terry says she never really had any craves and I believe that's because she never entertains the idea of smoking again. Sometimes I do get to thinking about smoking in this positive, romanticizing way that does me no good at all but seems to come out of no where. Well, actually, it comes out of 42 years of doing it, even while it was trying to kill me, but rational this addiction is NOT. So recognizing that I'm doing this irrational thinking helps me stop it, and voila! the crave stops. Seriously, how I think about the quit in general is how simple or complicated it is for me.
If I focus on how much better I can breathe, how much better I smell, how my skin is visibly gaining color and vitality, it makes it that much easier to resist the temptation to think of this horrible addiction in a positive manner. Quitting smoking can even enhance your libido. I'm just sayin...
