Thanks again my Friends!! I am still here going strong.. I celebrated my 3 year anniversary on Tuesday with the Boy Friend and it was nice to celebrate not only that but the fact that I am not smoking. Still 1 day at a time!! I may not post allot because of my job, I am gone 4 days a week but I think about you guys when I think about smoking and know that I would have supporters, and that keeps me going even though I can't get on this site and post. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/16/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 25 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 625 Amount Saved: $156.25 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 0 Mins: 29 Seconds: 13

Hi Frankie, You were very wise to only drink one beer. Remember the principles of quitting..Distract yourself, dely, AVOID the situation or even LEAVE the situation. If you had to go home 2 hours before everyone else, so be it. Hang out for a while, talk, etc. and then get out of there. Great job on the 21 days. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 317 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,608 Amount Saved: $1,585.00 Life Gained: Days: 44 Hrs: 5 Mins: 19 Seconds: 7

Congrats on the 21 days. YEAH.. and congrats on protecting your quit. I was on the chantix for around 40 days. I did got to 1/2 tab 2 times a day. I know without the chantix and this site.. I would NOT be where I am.. I have found that useing some probiotics is helping.. from a vitamin store.. to restore the natural floral to the GI tract. wish I had figured it out sooner... oh well. Going off the chantix has not been a problem.. and I still have 2 weeks (or at 1/2 tab 2 times a day) a month. Hang in there.. positive thinking.. saying NO NOPE.. you are doing a great job. Frankie, Congrats! Glad to hear you're doing well. Yes, there are traces of nicotine in second hand smoke. You'd have to be exposed a fair amount for it to affect you. Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator

Hi Frankie, It shows great strength on your part that you were aware of the possible danger to your quit (with the alcohol) and was able to stop the situation from arising :) You must feel so proud of yourself. I am not sure about the second hand smoke thing though, sorry. Maybe someone else on here does. Take care Naomi. Frankie, you are doing great. 21 days is a grand accomplishment and something to celebrate! Being cautious is not a bad idea. Better to be careful now...treat your quit like a precious infant. Hi Guys, Sorry I haven't been around but it's been crazy at work and home but I wanted you all to know that I am still smoke free. It's been tough but I am doing it. I have stopped taking the Chantix since it's so expensive and it was making me feel so sick that I needed to stop. I am doing ok so far off of it, but if I need it I will take it. I would rather feel alittle sick than smoke. Last night was a test for me, it was the first time I have been around other smokers and drinks. I had 1 beer and then drank coffee. I knew that if I have more to drink I would have caved. Baby steps I guess. And I was actually afraid to be around the smokers for fear that if I inhaled the 2nd hand smoke I would get nicotine in my system and I didn't want that. I don't know how true that is and maybe someone can rest my fears aside with that. Oh well back to work, yep I am working on a Sunday. Gotta love tax time. And I am not even an accountant.. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/16/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 21 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 504 Amount Saved: $126.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 16 Mins: 26 Seconds: 11
