No lozenges in Vernon BC - WTF?

17 years ago 0 1387 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I too am cutting back on the lozenges. When I get a crave I put a wintergreen lifesaver in the place where I usually put the lozenge and it seems to help. Hi Pixelpump, There are other alternatives to the lozenges, try substituting them with mints or gum. Members, any other suggestions? Sylvie, Bilingual Health Educator

I have not used the lozenges... I used Chantix.. and now off that I do use some cherry or spearmint menthol cough drops once in a while. the little breath strips that melt on your tongue ... something with kind of a strong..flavor .. seems to help.. Vernon? how far to the border or can you order a box on line?? I don't have an answer as to why you can't find them. I do want to offer encouragement to stop using them. I used the lozenges for well over a year. Long past the recommended time, BUT, when I did give them up, it was not near as bad as the FEAR of giving them up was! Best of luck Pixel! No matter what...don't smoke! Hi Pixiepump, two years? Perhaps it's a message that it's time to break another addiction. Nicotine is the addictive substance in cigarettes; regardless of the delivery method, you haven't broken that addiction yet. Join us here and let us help you find coping methods. You know it only takes 3 days or so to get the nicotine out of your body. Good luck! Howdy all. I'd been chewing 2 MG nicotine gum for about 4 years until I'd finally tried the 1 MG lozenges and had just about gotten myself down to zero... Last week I went to Wal Mart to get what I'd hoped would be my last box but lozenges were gone and the shelf was rearranged so that the nicotine gum took up the area that once contained the lozenges. I was a little miffed so I asked the Pharmacist what was going on and she told me that for some reason all nicotine lozenges had been pulled from their shelves. I asked why and she couldn't give me an answer, she said it must be a "Health Canada" thing or something. I've tried London Drugs as well now and they don't seem to stock them now either, although I haven't asked them why they took them off the shelves. Has anyone else had any issues like this?
