I second what lady and Josie said. There's a couple things... it's "possible" that there's a touch of depression going on from mourning the loss of your old adiction. Nothing to worry about, but something to keep your eye out for - in case you need to seek help at some point. OK? It's also likely that this isn't the case at all. I don't know about anyone else, but i'm learning to enjoy this abiulity to RELAX - when you're all hyped up on all those drugs and chemicals - it's hard to RELAX.. and boy do I enjoy being able to doze on the couch now!!! Hi Jan Don't know if it is normal, but happened to me a couple of times so far during my quit. I figure all the mental energy etc. going into my quit, every once in a while my body says, Time to rest. Let your body and mind get the rest it needs and deserves. It's all about learning to take care of ourselves. Jan, I had a pj day today myself, and also feel and have felt just as you described. I don't think mine today had to do with not smoking - but I was just over whelmed with *stuff* and had to unplug for a while. I think I can cope a bit better now. Hope you are feeling better. Josie, we can't "go forth" AND have a PJ day! The whole point of a PJ day is NOT to "go forth"! LOL I love PJ days and count it a reward also. My husband doesn't know what a day off is, and he wants to move move move all the time! So I take a PJ day when he's working and it works well! Jan, I'm sure that negative thinking is sneaking in there somewhere. I can hear the "Yeah but" coming. Please turn it all around and celebrate your almost 60 days, OK? And if all else elicits a "ho hum", ice cream works wonders! Hi Jan... I can't answer your question.. I still have a way to go.. Thin of normal as a setting on a washing machine... LOL Being a stroke survivor and a volunteer.. we are always looking and wanting to be "normal" Do what is Good for you.. We all have lazy days. If I'm at home.. I am in sweat pants..lol.. I want you to turn around... pat..pat..pat.. I think you r forgetting to pat yourself on the back and see how far you have come. I take a daily vitamin, also Calcium with D because I have osteoporosis yes another lovely thing from cigarettes. Now we have quit .. we should abdorb the vitamins and minerals we take. If you continue to be fatigued.. you could ask your Dr for some blood work.. you could be anemic or low in D ... someone also mentioned sublingual B tablets.. I have more energy when the sun is shining.. Give yourself the positive talks too.. We are proud of you. Comfort...what a great treat. I like my comfort as well! So I will consider today a reward to myself! I really did enjoy it down deep. I watched Oprah, etc... Before I go to sleep tonight, I will thank God for another smoke free day! You guys make me feel better. If I didn't have a job, I would probably live in them. that has nothing to do with the quit though, I have always been more comftrable in loose clothing like pjs or jogging pants. Comfort...that is what I enjoy. I get home, the heels, pantyhose come off and lounge pants go on, whatever makes it happy for you. That is my treat.
