Did spring cleaning of my house today, extra work in my old "smoking room". Cleaned everywhere - windows and all. Looks and smells great. Threw out lots of "stuff" just didn't need or wasn't using, sooo much more room in drawers, on top of desk etc. Great feeling, sense of accomplishment. Ever heard of the Flylady Mr. Ed? The queen of de-cluttering! In fact, I was one of the things that got de-cluttered when the ex went on a spring cleaning binge. I wasn't even smoking at the time and chewing tobacco doesn't count does it?......oh..it does...ok. These are good suggestions, not just for welcoming spring, but also when used as coping strategies to keep distracted from thinking about smoking during the quitting process. I feel like I have a spring in my step and have spent the day chasing Mrs Ed around the barn! Seriously though, on holiday, I read a book about removing 'clutter'. Today, I took at least a third of my clothes to the recycling bin. Hadn't worn them in ages & won't miss them. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 767 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 23,010 Amount Saved: 5,752.50 Life Gained: Days: 125 Hrs: 1 Mins: 48 Seconds: 59

Yesterday was the first day of spring, how do you feel? No different, lets change that! What can you do to get the spring time in gear? How about cleaning out the back yard Get the old patio furniture cleaned up. Gardening is therapeutic Spring cleaning gives you more room. Walking is great Change the furniture around Paint a room Start a new routine Be active in your progress and your life, Challenge yourself everyday and see the difference it can make.
