wow. Bon Jovi...Scott...Jack....hmm...good things to keep in mind. last night was not as bad...i was standing on the street watching people smoke - looking at them and wishing it were me...then the dream became food related and woke up to a growling stomach...it's a trial for sure. thank you for the support and encouragement...Frankie...you will do fine...4 days is four more than none and you are on your way..i was on 4 once and now look at me...and same with you MJ...you will make it - if i can, anyone can. i will be eating many jellybeans this weekend for sure. Sassy, First that poem you listed "The Best Cigarette" I just googled it and I thought it was great. Thanks for the mention. As far as the dreams go I remember when I quit the first time(and did it cold turkey) that the smoking dreams were UNreal. I used to wake up and me so mad at myself because I thought I had really smoked. I know exactlly what your going through, I wish I could tell you when they stopped for me but as you can see I didn't make it to far the first time, so no advise from me just HUGE support! Also I am not having those smoking dreams now, it might be that since I am on the Chantix I am not getting them But I am getting some CRAZY dreams. I won't go into my dreams but to give you a little laugh Jon BonJovi and Scott Baio made guest staring rolls in them. :8o: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/16/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 96 Amount Saved: $24.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 8 Mins: 50 Seconds: 19

Sassy, Glucose is known to cause nightmares, cutting back on it before bedtime may help. Making peace with your quit takes time so don't be too hard on yourself. Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator

just did. wow. very cool. "...But westward, look, the land is bright" okay. can get through it. i must admit...i have been writing more poetry withOUT the cigs which surprises me...and i only wrote TWO poems ABOUT the cigs...which scared me at first but who can blame me, right? thanks for this. hugely appreciated. I happen to have Billy Collins poem The Best Cigarette on the wall next to my desk at work...also inspiring. *i really appreciate the support of this group... hello everyone. sassy reporting in. day #42. i am hanging in but getting a bit tired (no pun intended) of the bad dreams...i am smoking in the, coughing in them, stamping out cigs before husband gets home - waving away smoke - climbing mountains to get to them..fishing through sofas for change to buy them...i am busier when i sleep than when i am awake. i am cold-turkeying so i can't cut down on anything to see if this makes it better...part of me wants to hurry home to bed so i can smoke :) the smarter part of me simply asks...when do the smoking dreams stop? thanks for any suggestions you can offer...
