Blue Cloud, Gen, Bonnie; Thanks for the input. The last few weeks something definitely took a turn for the better. I am working hard on the attitude department and find myself getting closer and closer to true freedom. Thanks again to all. Congrats BC and Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Moss, I am relatively new. I wasn't sure I was even 100% committed ..until I found you all or (ya'l) as I read, sent and recieved virtual hugs. I thought about a time... it was Thanksgiving dinner at my sister in laws.. I WAS the only smoker there. It was rainy, damp, chilly... I put on my coat, and out the door, trying to stand under the over hang to get a few puffs... I could see in the window (it kind of reminded me of a little kid in the rain and cold watching festivities from outside). I got my "FIX" exhaled deeply a few times and flapped my arms around.... thinking I would go back in ( NOT Stinking) yes it took me until February..... but I keep that picture in my head... and replay it when needed. Am I missing anything? N O P E hugs to all , Bonnie My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/10/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 37 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 629 Amount Saved: $125.80 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 9 Mins: 6 Seconds: 20

Congratulations and thanks for expressing it so well, Blue Cloud! I just love to hear how people really appreciate the freedom from the slavery of smoking ... I'm starting to feel it and I haven't been this happy for a long time!! Hi Moss. I see you are at 120 days and that is great. The next 120 will make a big difference. I do feel it just takes time. There are still times of stress or maybe milestones or maybe the addiction that make me think about smoking but no longer do I want to or am I tempted. I am told that you have to go through all 4 seasons to really become free and I have not done that yet. Geeze if it feels better than this I will highly recommend it. Hi Moss. I know what you mean about that feeling. For me, I just talked myself through those thoughts till suddenly one day I realized that I didn't need to do that any more because I was/am genuinely glad to be free. Everyone is different but you sound so positive I'm sure you get there soon!! Hi Blue Cloud, Thank you for this. This is still a bothersome area for me. I know better but I have to admit that little thing in the back of my mind is still there. I am still at that place where I feel like I have to give something up. I have a positive attitude generally but this is a tough road at times. Do you think that you did something to bring about this feeling of freedom or did it just take time for it to happen? Any insight you or others could share would be appreciated. Thanks - Moss My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 120 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,800 Amount Saved: $405.00 Life Gained: Days: 19 Hrs: 8 Mins: 39 Seconds: 32
