I really only took the Chantix so I could get to the point where I could quit. I never had any intention of using it to keep me quit. I am very well aware of the cravings and they are very minimal. I don't like taking drugs of any kind but this stuff did the trick for me to get to quit. This is the 2nd day without any and I feel just as fine as I did taking them. I've been thru some very stressful smoking trigger situations in the last week and didn't even think of smoking. I have had my last cigarrette. DJ I believe that for me, I had to really be ready to quit. I was finally ready I just couldn't quite get there. Now that I have quit I really love not smoking. I am so much more aware of the people that have to duck out to smoke and very aware of the way they smell and I really like not having to duck out. Didn't you have some time quit DJ? Good for you, Terry!!! A couple of days, and it will be the big 30 days!!! Keep me updated on how you are doing going off the Chantix. I'm still thinking about starting to cut back on mine tomorrow and try to be off of them after a month's worth. I mean, it IS all about the PMA, right??? Congrats again!!!! Yes BJ we are close. Isn't it wonderful to breathe and not having to worry about stepping outside all the time. I've noticed that when I'm in my daughters company. She's always stepping outside just like I did. I smell so much better too! hey Terry, you have done an awesome job!! Me and John did 10 weeks with the chantix and kept the rest for emergencies, we each had one of those and we just took one pill, while it might not have done anything it mentally got us through. We still have those boxes in our cupboard but haven't needed them. Stay vigilant!! HUGE Congrats!! Well I forgot to take my 1/2 pill this morning so instead of Monday as a quit for the Chantix I guess it's today. I have 28 days and Monday will be the 30th. Wow I'm so excited. I didn't even notice a difference in cravings without it today. Probably once it gets out of my system I may, but they are just cravings. Nothing more. I have smoked my last cigarette.
