Found a new trigger!

16 years ago 0 2778 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi BJ! You are right about the Chantix site! I go there every day, but it's not very inspirational and pretty boring! I come here everyday now and it has been very motivating and rewarding! Of course it doesn't hurt to meet such supportive new friends!!! I made it throught my first smoke free weekend pretty well!! I did find another trigger, though!!! We smoked some ribs with apple wood yesterday and a craving hit me!!! I don't know if it was that nico-demon or if I was just hungry and couldn't wait for those ribs to be done!!! Mmmmmm... they were delicious!! I was just sorry that I had to wait a couple more hours!!! :) I HAVE QUIT SMOKING CIGARETTES, I just hope that I don't ever have to quit smoking ribs!!! Keep going strong, BJ!!! You're almost at that 1 month milestone!! Have a great smoke free Monday, y'all!!! Jim are you meaning your passport on the Chantix site.. it is on your first prescription.. a little paper card with the web site phone number and a code number to sign into their site. The Chantix site has information.. but no live support or forums. I go there about every 4 days. I have not used theri 800 #.. I come here.. for real support, from real quitters. Hi Jim, You will get the hang of things on the site pretty quick. You are doing great, the first week is the hardest. Looks like such a cool thing you have going on with the glass blowing. Not smoking will allow you more air to blow with. Drink lots of water and flush your body. This site will be a big help to you. Welcome. Thanks Brenna, I finally figured out that the "View Results" links are what you'all are calling "My Passport" before I saw your response. I was thinking that there was supposed to be another pull down menu button somewhere to link to the Passport! Thank you for being here for me! Hotsio, Stress and anxiety are a major trigger for many. Stress from work, family, friends, sporting events are factors when many people slip. Good for you for coming up with some coping strategies. Keep these hand next time your team plays. All of your information can be found in your Glove Compartment were it says view results. Brenna, Bilingual Health Educator

Hey Gang! I'm still doing pretty good on my 3rd day. I found a new trigger last night while watching our university's womens basketball game on TV. It looked like they were high schoolers and nothing was going right for them. Of course my cravings were going through the roof at the time! And of course as a true fan you just cannot turn the channel! :) I USED to head for the garage and light up to calm down when our team looks like crap! Well, that was then and this is now. I ate a couple of chips and peanuts, had a couple of long drinks of my beer, a couple of deep breaths and things were better!!! I keep reminding myself that I DO NOT SMOKE... I AM A NON-SMOKER!!! I will just have to use different methods of coping with stress about important things, like our team getting whooped!!! ;p Gotta keep fighting that demon, eh!!!! On another note, I thought I sent out a thread yesterday requesting info on where I can find my Passport. In my program it says to check my passport frequently, but for the life of me I can't seem to locate it!!! I can't find the thread I sent either!! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!! Keep the fire in your eyes!!!
