Hey, I'm still here! I've taken some time away from this site. Not intentionally, but just because I've been busy lately. And I've found that I'm not needing to come here as often. In fact, things are going great for me! I have conquered a few trigger moments that I am very proud of! :) As some of you probably remember, I was having a hard time a few weeks ago. My husband is still smoking  But, I do think I am having a positive effect on him. He is at least talking about quitting too now. I think it's just a matter of time.
Anyway, I probably won't be checking in as often. But, I'm still here, lurking around. Smoke-free!!
Keep up the quit everyone!
Karen.

Good to hear from you, Deck! And to see that you're hanging on to your quit even through all the shenanigans going on with you these last weeks...
Anyway, I still have the temerity to suggest to you that you ask your doctor if you could go on Champix (knowing how you're so against messing with pharma-chemicals and all that (say nomore)) so you wouldn't have to deal with the raging cravings as much as you are doing now.
Just trying to lighten your load. Go n'eirigh an bothar leat and all that ...
No chance that you have an emancipated niece or nephew come over the water to help you out in the house and be a bit of company??
Patrick

Glad to see you are all holding out. I am having to deal with some other issues at the moment but I am hanging on with a thread. Today is another one of those hell days, when the cravings are jus about unbearable, but I'm holding on. Two months or sixty days and still counting.
Have a good weekend everybody

Hi everyone. We're still here and going strong as well. I love watching the meter - it never ceases to amaze me!
You're right, Islandgirl, why the heck did we wait so long? Duh! Oh well, we're on the right track now. I read your thread about the look on people's faces when you tell them you quit. I've noticed the same thing - some are amusing, but there's one girl at work that smokes, and's so jealous that I quit that she won't even talk to me!! Her loss! :)

I'm here and going strong!! I just keep wondering why the heck I waited this long to get rid of the darned things!! And, one positive thing leads to another, I am now working out, doing yoga, getting out and enjoying life instead of hiding in the garage and smoking.
I am a professional person and should have known better...well, I DID know better, I just did not want to admit it. Now, I am very proud to tell everyone I am a Non Smoker..New Years No Nics rule!!

Hi, MJ... I wish you all the focus and determination in your quit. Hey! Thirty-six days is great... smoking a cigarette will only plunge you into even more misery... breathe deeply and stay tough...
