Hi Mrs. N. Good for you.. I had bad days on day 4 and 9..lol I know it will be different days for each of us. It does get better. I read and post here, it is very helpful to know people have gone thru this, without killing or injuring others... the roller coaster will even out, you will learn your "triggers" you will still face some times it takes to grit your teeth to get thru.. but you will learn distractions, and to think of this site and all your friends here. And YOY WON"T want to set that quit meter back to 0 zero.. no no no My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/10/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 26 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 442 Amount Saved: $69.62 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 17 Mins: 12 Seconds: 41

Hey Mrs N, It's not my dog but it does look just like my male maltese. He smiles like that all the time. My female maltese does as well, as long as she is getting treats LOL! Glad you had a good day. Look at you, you will have a week under your belt in no time! Do treat your self, you have earned it. Quitting is not a picnic in the park, but, it is doable and oh so worth it. See? you already are feeling great with lots of energy. Have a great evening! Hi Mrs Nick, Love your picture, I have one almost like that hanging in my office restroom. The emotional roller coaster is very normal and will pass. Instead of thinking about the withdrawals, try focusing on the benefits of quitting. Like, how good your hands and clothes smell, how clean your mouth feels, how your car and house do not smell like smoke, how you will never have to clean an ashtray again. Those thoughts should help cheer you up a little and remind you why you are working hard for this quit. Maybe a little reward for yourself would be a nice "pick me up" as well. Hang in there, you are doing great. Just take it one day at a time. G :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 229 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,870 Amount Saved: $1,099.20 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 14 Mins: 30 Seconds: 57

Congratulations on getting through the roughest four days of this quit, Mrs Nick! The new habits you substitute for having and playing with a cigarette will soon enough be embedded in your mind and you'll begin to stop thinking about smokes. I've got 5 weeks of a quit and already I am having fewer and fewer thoughts about cigarettes and smoking... I am feeling great and I love this newfound freedom. You'll look back in a few weeks and be so proud of yourself for having escaped the clutches of the nicotine dealers... Stcik with the icy cold water and maybe get yourself some worry-beads!! Hi, I had a hard night, but I got through it. :) I used lot of the stuff I found in here. I get really down, I desided that I did not want my mood to effect my family so I did a mental health night and socked in a hot bath. I told myself that this is part of quiting, and that it will pass. By the time I went to bed I was in a lot better place. I still felt down, but I know it was withdrawl. Today I have I new out look. By getting pass the withdrawl I am becoming a stranger person. I know that I am now a non-smoker for life, and it feels great!! The withdrawl is simply terrible, but that just shows me how much the smokes were killing me. Thanks for being here for me. It makes quiting easyer.
