So glad your neighbor left you oatmeal cookies.. no matter.. they are definately healthier than a cigarette. Oatmeal lowers cholesterol..lol I don't think you eat an entire plate of cookies too often. Cheers and hope the last few days have been better.. and YEAH its Friday My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/10/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 26 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 442 Amount Saved: $69.62 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 20 Mins: 28 Seconds: 4

Thats strange that you would crave a cigarette after so long Windy. I too have had some rough days, maybe not quite as bad as that but haven't thought of a cigarette for relief in quite sometime. I know it past but kind of disheartening to hear from someone who has been smoke free for so long. Kudos to you Windy!!!! It can still crop up from time to time. But you took all you learned and applied it here. I love your tenacity. Hope the cookies were good! Windy, Thanks for sharing your experience. You may have wanted a cigarette but didn't have one. A year ago, had you encountered this situation, would it have been more difficult to deal with? Likely. You've come a long way Windy, pat yourself on the back! Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator

Hi all! Sassy here on Day#26...never thought i'd get this far....i have been tested in all areas: the mail, the phonecalls, the good news, the bad news, giving and getting of both...the wait and sees and the should know soons....all accomplished without a cigarette....so for those of you who cannot believe it's two weeks - you can do it....and for those of you who have hit one more day than me....you are an inspiration and i am grateful there is somewhere like this to go to. onward and upward and not one puff ever! Windy, But you didn't smoke, YES. Cause if you had I would have had to there and take your remote, George, Sammy and your running shoes. :eg: Seriously, I am sorry that monster popped in. But you did a good thing, you told your co-workers, you came home and posted and you had cookies :eg: You are so awesome, are you missing your honey or is it that boss  Whatever you are okay and I know you won't smoke. Enjoy Keep the Quit Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 309 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,090 Amount Saved: $927.00 Life Gained: Days: 43 Hrs: 18 Mins: 5 Seconds: 40

You're right, Lady & Windy - smoking doesn't change a damn thing exceptto make us weaker and miserable within 2 minutes after we light up the rotten little tube of weed-killer-filled nicotine... with its filthy tar and gases that anyone would be insane to knowingly inhale... I felt my nephew's pain/shame (none of us razzed him but his head and scuttle was so low and brisk respectively, that it was obvious that he felt stupid) as he had to excuse himself from the family gathering on Saturday night and make his lonely way out on to the balcony with his down-filled jacket to suck in stinking smoke and icy air for 1.5 minutes... last year at this time three of us would be jostling each other for a place on that balcony to do the same thing... what a crazy thing to be doing!!!
