Hi there everyone! I am on day 21 and never thought i would get here..actually went to bookstore instead of library...very proud of myself and very thankful for the support of this group...i look often and read comments and feel empowered...last night was the first night that i didn't dream i was smoking so i actually woke up NOT angry at myself ;) the cravings are slowly going away and i might actually believe i can live my life as a non-smoker..which is unbelievable for someone like me. thanks all of you! Hi, BJ...stock up on good movies from the video store and keep your radio on all day and switch from easy listening to hard rock as you want! Throw some seed out for the birds and watch them. Go to the library in town and take out a few books on stuff you like... keep your iced water handy and stick close to your quit buddies... While you're in town get yourself a massage or spend an afternoon at the hairdressers - reward yourself! Hey BJ. I have to come here at least once a day. It helped me so much when i got started. I come here now cause i want to and i know how much it helps. There are people here with HUGE amounts of quit time that continue to come here and stay quit and i am hoping to follow in their foot steps. Take care and stay strong - we are here for each other. Hey BJ ... I'm here and hubby and I still going strong.. getting better every day. Although I do have urges now I can't really class them as strong craves, its like I will reach for a cigarette and than realize that I don't smoke anymore. LOL . By next week Tuesday you will be cured. Sorry couldn't resist that line. If needed I'm here for you and will check in every so often. I'm off the champix now too! I understand your anxiety. Have a lot more responsibility and all, not to mention the quiet nights. You'll do fine. try making yourself a list of things to do. if you have it down on paper then you don't have to keep going over it in your head and may allow you to relax a little. Come by often! Sorry to hear about MIL - give our best to DH on his journey. bj, Glad you check in often. It really does help. Sorry to hear about your MIL(mother-in-law?). Will you be by yourself when hubby leaves? Try to keep yourself busy. Going out, watching tv, walking, a hobby perhaps. Well, you get the idea. Oh...and keep posting, that way you'll never be by yourself. We're open 24/7. Thinking of you, Cheers, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/27/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 775 Amount Saved: $263.50 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 14 Mins: 43 Seconds: 29

Hi all, I am pretty new around here, I check in .. several times a day.. It is a great help to keep me focused and on track.. and a GREAT reminder why I am quitting. I look for ..."the regulars" DL.Sparky, Boots, Misty etc etc etc..... the members who quit near the time I did. Next week I may be whining and need some extra help.. My husband leaves for 10 days. We live on 5 rural acres. My MIL is in the hospital out of state with lung cancer. I am feeling a bit anxious.. I am getting things ready for the trip .. and all while he is away. Thanks everyone... for just being here.
