. . . but for me that one will bring me right back to a pack and then full time smoker and it's just not worth it. Sorry, don't have the quote thing down as yet. Freedom, that is so true and you're right, it's just not worth it. Thanks for the support, Goofy. It's good to know it's out there. Thanks for checking in guys and sorry to hear that things aren't 100%. i think the key to remember here is that things will not always be 100% but smoking will not help that in any way! Learning to deal and cope as a non smoker may take a while a long while for that matter but if we keep working at it, one day we won't even notice that we can live a perfectly normal happy healthy life without running to the nicdemon. I am so proud of you and myself for making it this far as it does become much easier to move forward and not smoke. Daily battles will come and go but being a non smoker will last forever! Remember to keep your guard up because some situations really do want to make you have just that one...but for me that one will bring me right back to a pack and then full time smoker and it's just not worth it. Keep your tools in place for those just in case moments. Great job guys, i think we all deserve a huge reward! ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 108 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,620 Amount Saved: $972.00 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 12 Mins: 55 Seconds: 31

Thank you for the kind words, Moss. It really helps to know that others in our little group also have these problems but overcome them. I certainly will give a yell if I think I can't cope. I can use all the help I can get when I feel like that. :8o: My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 97 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,940 Amount Saved: $601.40 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 12 Mins: 45 Seconds: 12

ML Sorry you are having a rough time right now. I know you said you were a long time smoker. Me too, roughly 33-35 years. Some say it takes it bit longer to undo some of the addictive behaviours, etc. the longer one smokes. I guess it is different for everyone but it may make you feel not so alone to know that I've had some close calls myself with trying that "just one". We simply mustn't do it or trouble will be right around the corner. Hang tight and please give a yell if you are having a bad day or just a bad time. Thinking of you, Freedom26, and all the others here for that matter. Freedom, congrats on your 107 days, sorry I missed your 100th. And congrats Moss on reaching 100. Three more days and I'll be there with you both. Seems impossible but here we are. I've been on an emotional roller coaster this past week and more. This morning I almost broke down altogether but girded my loins and thought I can do another day. If it takes minute by minute, I'll do that as well. I'm not giving up after having reached this far. The emotional problem will be there whether I smoke or not, so I choose not to smoke. I'm getting rather proud of myself for being able to do so. :) And proud of the No-Embers who have made it this far. Freedom, Thanks for working hard to keep this great group of quitters together. It's coming up to 100 days for all of the November Quitters - a good time for an extra reward! Brenna, Bilingual Health Educator

Hey Freedom - Haven't been here too much lately but I came on the last couple days to Congrat you on your 100 and ended up getting dumped from my internet connection. Today it seems to be working so far. So, A Belated CONGRATS to you. ML is right behind. If I don't get back on the next couple days. Hang in there ML. I know from a different post that you were having a rough week. I have had some tests myself over the last month or so that tested my resolve. I certainly hope the passing of time will help.
