Hi Kristilu,
I'm sorry that you're having such a hard time of it. Quitting smoking isn't easy. In addition to dealing with the physical symptoms of withdrawal, there are also the emotional issues to deal with aswell. Finding alternative ways to deal with stress, anger, depression etc is not easy, but these emotions have to be faced, and dealt with, one way or another. New coping strategies have to be found and this can and will take time.
The basic fundamental principle of a successful quit is simply that your desire to quit has to be stronger than your desire to smoke. Unfortunately, until you reach this point and believe it with all your heart ..... you will continue to struggle.
Quitting needs to be embraced. As do all the 'unpleasant' feelings that come with it ......
But it can be done.
I, and many many others are living proof of that. But it doesn't come easy I'm afraid. There will be pain and tears....
But that passes. Once you get through that (and the length of time and severity of it will differ for each of us), the rewards are absolutely phenomenal. The sense of achievement and pride that you feel are second to none.
You may not be ready to quit yet, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't stick around here to learn and gain as much information and help as you possibly can. All the support you need is right here.....
You'll 'know' when your 'forever' quit is here. But you have to believe first.
I sincerely wish you all the very best and will be here to support you when you're ready.
Rachel :)
