Thanks, Marcus, merci. Oddly, unlike precious quits, I find each day more difficult than the last. Now it's Friday and I had some wine to celebrate the weekend, 4 or 5 days, whatever -- HUGE mistake. Thank God I read all that stuff about lower brain and higher brain in the workbook or wherever, so I know what's going on. That stupid wine (which I've avoided, and should have continued to avoid!) is shutting down my quit commitment and telling me I can smoke because I deserve it.
Great. So now wine is my enemy too. Anything that shuts down my higher brain is my enemy, regardless of how long we've hung out together. Sure, I'm gonna miss those Friday nights, but not nearly as much as I'd miss the real, smoke-free me. I am so NOT going back. Gonna miss the wine, maybe a lot.
Bring on the green tea.
