Hey, Marcus... thanks for the reminder of how damned simple it is to fall back into the nicotine trap... I quit 24 yrs ago for 6 months and lost the Quit by being drunk in a bar, full of alcohol and P&V; within 24 hours I was back smoking a pack a day. Soon after, I gave up the madness of the alcohol drug but not the nicotine... My wish is that all Newbies can keep this warning about that One Puff in mind all the time in the future... Thanks again My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/18/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 26 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 650 Amount Saved: $292.50 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 21 Mins: 31 Seconds: 21

You're smarter than I was, dkvjck. I didn't celebrate my three-year quit as I should have. I guess I forgot what I'd achieved. One evening, shortly afterwards, I smoked a cigar. You've heard the story a thousand times - within less than two months it was a pack a day again. But, as I said, you're smarter than me. You got a dream car, and I got to start my quit all over again, six years later. Enjoy your new car - you certainly deserve it - and NEXT time round, I'll try to be as smart as you are. Congratulations to you... a real reward for a winning Quitter.. Closest I ever got to that kind of stardom was buying a 280ZX for $3000 in 1984... that was back in the "Datsun" era......
