The picture you painted for us of you sitting hour after hour in a pub, smoking and drinking your young life away, doesn't sound so happy go lucky to me, Kev.
You know, we know, and I'm sure your mom knows, that your life was not better when you smoked. Perhaps your mood was more stable, but we also all know that that was because the junkie wanted you to believe that everything would be OK as long as you kept feeding him.
Kev, Bear is right. You know that smoking is never a solution or a cure for anything.
What it is, is an evil addiction that makes you and maybe the people around you, believe that it is a solution to anxiety, nervousness, depression, etc.
If you are in psychological pain since you quit, it isn't because you need to smoke, my friend. It's because not smoking has given you the gift of seeing clearly that a problem exists so that you can treat it effectively and appropriately. That is what will make you feel better.
Don't smoke, Kev. Give yourself what you need, not what the junkie needs.
